You are about to participate in a green seminar and you are starting to gather the necessary things. But, you are not 100% sure what to bring. Anxious not to forget anything, you are wondering what are the essential items?

If you are going to a seminar in the countryside, your luggage should be a little different from most trips. It is important to have the right clothes and supplies to create a pleasant experience for everyone. To make your seminar a success, you need to make sure you have all the equipment you need.

Here are some of the things you should pack in your suitcase for a seminar.

1. The luggage

The choice of your luggage is an important (and generally underestimated) element in the smooth running of a weekend. Indeed, too many people have found themselves distraught in front of their broken suitcase or a travel bag whose zipper had just broken. That is why the choice of your luggage must be anticipated in order to avoid any mishap, especially in front of your professional circle. The question now is to know what is the best choice between a suitcase or a travel bag. If the seminar takes place in one place and you do not need to move your luggage regularly, we advise you to opt for a suitcase which remains a more solid luggage than the bag, especially if you carry fragile items (computer, camera etc...)

2. Your personal belongings

It goes without saying, but it is always good to remember to bring back a sufficient number of personal belongings. Indeed, in this professional event, it is very easy to forget basic things such as:

- clothes for the entire stay
- atoilet bag with all the essentials (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant…)
- shower items (towel, shower gel, shampoo…)
- Sportswear: it all depends on your seminar, but depending on your professional field, it is not surprising to find some "team building" exercises related to sport.

3. A laptop (and its charger)

Unlike the previous paragraph, some people may see the seminar as days of vacation, of rest in the countryside. Although these seminars are intended to break with the daily routine, it should not be forgotten that they are above all a professional purpose. That is why it is always important to remember to take all these objects with which you are used to working, the computer being generally part of it

4. A pen and paper to take notes

Some speakers don't like seeing their entire audience on a computer, so they may ask you to close your computer to ensure you are listening more attentively. In that case, you'll be glad you have some paper and a pen to take notes.

5. Snacks

Long seminars are common in many companies. While some participants appreciate the opportunity to learn more, others find them tedious and boring. In addition, there is not always an all-you-can-eat buffet in all seminars, which is why we advise you to bring snacks (cereal bars, fruit, etc.). Finally, if you are holding a green seminar, we can only invite you to respect the environmental logic of these weekends, by providing water bottles and thus avoiding single-use water bottles.

The most important thing before leaving is that your luggage for your seminar should not be too heavy for your shoulders. The luggage must be as light as it is effective. The first rule is therefore: as little as possible! The list of items above is for guidance only, carefully review the program of your seminar so as not to forget anything but also not to take any surplus that would weigh down your luggage.
